If you spend much time in Tampa, you will quickly discover why it is such a popular tourist destination. From outdoor activities to wonderful weather, when it comes to Tampa attractions there is something here for everyone – from families looking to make memories to singles looking to enjoy the nightlife.

Serengeti Night Safari

For adults 21 and older looking for a wild time, you need to check out Busch Gardens’ Serengeti Night Safari. From hors d’oeuvres with your friendly safari guides to learning techniques to help you spot the wildlife, to up close and personal time with the animals themselves, this is a night you won’t forget.

You’ll head out to the Serengeti with night vision monoculars to take in antelope, zebra, and even a few giraffes looking for a treat. At break time, you’ll enjoy fireside stories and drinks with your new friends. The evening is wrapped up with freshly made deserts and a nightcap.

Adventure Island

When you are looking to have some family fun that will be the stuff of memories for years to come, there is no place quite like Adventure Island to bring everyone together for a wet and wild escapade.

Adventure Island includes thirty acres of water themed attractions all in one place. From slides to waterfalls, to waves, there is no better place to cool off and enjoy the sun. Whether you are looking for some heart pumping rapids or spending some time sitting back and enjoying a private cabana you will find it here.

Also, new in 2015 is the Colossal Curl. This new ride incorporates both funnels and waves and actually provides a feeling of weightlessness. Keep in mind, it isn’t for the faith at heart.

Known as the Latino section of Tampa, you will find old-world charm, restaurants, shops, tours, and nightclubs. 7th Avenue in Ybor City was originally, in the 1880’s home to some of the most famous cigar factories in the world, and was considered the Cigar Capital of the World until the 1930’s.

Tours include historic walking tours and group tours by bus. In addition, self-guided audio tours are available. If you enjoy something a bit more on the spooky side, there is also a Ybor City ghost walk tour.

Today, you will find brick streets and historic facades that house a multi-cultural selection of restaurants and shops. During the day, Ybor is family friendly, but if you plan on going in the evening for dinning or clubbing, it is a place best suited for those 21 and older.
